Hanging the Christmas stocking is almost as important of a tradition as decorating the Christmas tree! With all of the decorations, family dinners and gift giving this time of year it can be especially hard on the wallet. Thankfully you don’t have to spend a lot when it comes to filling the little ones stockings. I’ve put together twenty budget friendly stocking stuffers for kids under seven that both they and your wallet will love.
Budget Friendly Stocking Stuffers For Kids Ages Seven And Under
Pacifiers ~ If you have a newborn then pacifiers are a necessity for many little ones. There are many great brands out there but our favorite brand is the NUK. They have a variety of designs available, are inexpensive, and cute.
Adorable Socks ~ Keep your little ones feet warm this winter with this practical stocking stuffer. Infant and toddler socks come in a variety of colors, styles and designs including some that look like animals or even little shoes. I personally like the Toptim Non-skid Socks for baby and toddlers. Not only are they bright and have a cute design but they have the non-skid on the bottom to help the little ones stay on their feet.
Rattles ~ Infants and young toddlers love the sounds that rattles make. Santa left each of my sons the Bright Start Shake Barbell Rattle in their first Christmas stocking. They loved their little rattles, we took them everywhere and the boys played with them almost non-stop.
Teething Toys ~ If your little one is teething or will be soon then teething rings make an ideal gift. They are inexpensive, and come in a huge variety. The Roary Lion Teething Blankie by Playgro is colorful, fun and will make your tiny teethers feel much better when those gums are causing them some discomfort.
Toothbrush And Toothpaste ~ Every Christmas Santa leaves our boys a new electric character toothbrush, and this year AJ will be getting the Colgate Kids Minion Power Toothbrush. These toothbrushes make brushing teeth much easier and more fun for your kids. Which means they will be much more likely to corporate when it comes time to brush their teeth.
Bath Toys ~ Sassy Bathtime Pals Squirt and Float Toys is one stocking stuffer that will have the kids begging for bath time!
Board Books ~ I have mentioned in the past that our family are avid readers. Every Christmas we give our sons new books. Board books are great for younger children who don’t yet know to be careful with paper pages. Our favorites include The Bear and Friends Books, they have truly become a loved part of our bedtime routine.
Bubbles ~ Kids love bubbles, and why not they are lots of fun! As a mom however I hate the mess. By putting the bubble solution in the Little Kids Fubbles No-Spill Bubble Tumbler your toddler can be entertained and you don’t have to deal with the mess!
Finger Puppets ~ These tiny toys keep busy little hands and fingers occupied! The 12 Neon Monkey Vinyl Finger Puppets ZOO Animal Jungle are washable, bright and fun!
Small Toys ~ Small, hand held toys like the Small World Sand & Water Toys (Peek-A-Boo Dump Truck) make great stocking stuffers. Not only are they the perfect size to fit in little hands but they will keep the little ones busy while you are preparing Christmas breakfast.
Coloring Books ~ My sons love to color, and getting new coloring books at Christmas is a must. The Christmas Parade! Frosty The Snowman big coloring book is a great way to keep the kids entertained Christmas morning.
Crayons And Markers ~ You can’t get a new coloring book and not receive crayons or markers to go with it! Crayola Washable Markers are great for your little artists as they wont stain their hands, clothing, or anything else they accidentally color on.
Play-Doh ~ This inexpensive and versatile stocking stuffer will bring hours of joy to the little ones. Purchasing the Play-Doh: Case of Colors becomes even more economical as you will have multiple containers to use over the coming months.
Hot Wheels ~ These miniature cars are always a huge hit with my boys and other little Hot Wheels fans will love finding them in their Christmas stocking as well. This year we bought each boy the Hot Wheels City Batman 5-Pack Gift Set.
Mini Lego Sets ~ These small Lego sets make one entire project. They range from the LEGO Creator Blue Racer set to the Star Wars Republic Gunship. The nice thing about these mini Lego sets is that most of them cost under $10.00 while the larger sets often cost between $20 and $30 each.
Glow Sticks ~ KC loves glow sticks, he is just fascinated with them. This is a unique and fun stocking stuffer that any boy (or girl) will love. As an added bonus they come in a large assortment of colors.
Travel Games ~ Planning to go see family during the holidays? Then travel games like Spot It! on the Road are a must. They will keep everyone busy and happy while the miles fly by.
My Little Pony Toys ~ Your My Little Pony fan will love finding a special surprise in their Christmas stocking. The My Little Pony Cutie Mark magic Rainbow Dash Figure is sure to be a big hit this Christmas.
Barbie Outfits And Accessories ~ Help Barbie and Ken get dressed up for Christmas with these two great outfits! The Ken Fashion Pack is an entire outfit that makes Ken look dashing when he take his best girl out on the town! Barbie will look like a princess in her Blue Ball Gown with Light Blue Sequined Lace Details.
Paper Dolls ~ Little girls who love playing with dolls will love the Glamorous Gowns and Tiaras (Disney Princess) paper doll book. Giving your little Princess her own paper dolls to play with is a unique and fun way for her to play with her favorite Disney characters.
